In 1963 Admiral Collins of CenPacFlt assigned Petty Officer "Pencils" Coleman the task of delivering Top Secret information for Vietnam's Operation Market Time.

Soon after Pencils secures the documents, the ex-cop encounters two murders aboard his ship, the USS STEVENS, and is appointed to lead the homicide investigation.

Pencils is led to an Hawaiian base, international drug-ring, and prostitution. Explosions, gunfire, and high-speed chases set a course of destruction directly to the man who master-minded the murders of Pencils' shipmates.

Charlie Vogel is a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired Coast Guard Reserve Petty Officer. He is also a retired police officer in the city of Omaha. He has four children and lives with his wife and two sons in Omaha.
