eBook Sales Rising, eReader Prices Dropping:

Well, it's finally happening. eBooks are on the verge of outselling paperbacks, and industry experts are predicting surging eBook sales in 2010, along with plummeting eReader prices (great news on both counts). With Barnes & Noble's "Nook" now selling for $150, and the new KOBO eReader scheduled for July release at the same price, eReaders are starting to nudge into the "impulse buying" price range. The latest Publishing Poynters (Dan Poynter's free and highly informative newsletter) has several interesting news pieces on the eBook market. Publishing Poynters

Our New Line of Large Print Trade Paperback Titles:

My mother is approaching 101 years old, and this amazing lady still devours novels at the rate of 200+ pages daily (large print editions, of course).

We have had a tough time trying to stay ahead of her because we've been unable to locate a decent number of large print paperback titles. There are quite a few large print hardcover titles available, but my mother says they are too heavy for her to hold very long.

Given her situation, I have decided to expand our Large Print paperback line dramatically. By the middle of the year (2010), we should have an impressive selection of titles. So thanks for the marketing tip, Mom! —Ray Hoy, Publisher

Our eBooks Are Kindle/Nook Compatible

Amazon's new "Kindle" and Barnes & Noble's "Nook" ereaders appear to be selling extremely well, which is good for all eBook publishers. Our titles are available in all popular formats, including Kindle and Nook. →

Our New Audio Book Line:

Our new audio book offerings are simply beautiful. Each title is packaged in a standard DVD-style case, and the artwork is applied to each Compact Disc with laser technology. Using this technology enables us to produce each title at considerable savings. The finished product is, of course, shrink-wrapped.

Our audio books will soon be available through major distributors. The following titles are scheduled for production in 2010-2011 (presented in alphabetical order, not in order of production): →

Lake Tahoe Recording Studio Destroyed by Fire

The gigantic forest fire that threatened to engulf all of South Lake Tahoe claimed nearly 200 homes. David Fabrizio, our creative director, lost everything when his home burned to the ground. The fire also destroyed our recording studio, resulting in the loss of $25,000 or so in electronic gear, and hundreds of hours of recordings for titles in our audio production queue. →
